The Welsh Government has also taken to using the word “plan” when referring to its plans for further cuts to disability living allowance (DLA), with officials warning of a \u00a330 a week decrease as part of the changes.<\/p>\n

Mr Watson’s own government’s welfare reforms have seen a rise in the number of claimants claiming disability living allowance (DLA) in the past five years, an increase that has been attributed in part to the introduction of the Personal Independence xo \uce74\uc9c0\ub178<\/a>Payment (PiP) for disabled people. The introduction of the \u00a315 DLA payment in April 2014 is expected to see the number of DLA claimants rise by around 70,000 over the next four years.<\/p>\n The new plans to cut the DLA benefit cap have the support of sen\uc601\uc8fc\ucd9c\uc7a5\uc548\ub9c8<\/a>ior party figures and Labour frontbenchers, but have caused concern among the party’s disabled voters.
